What are the procedures for deporting a domestic worker?

When a domestic worker’s contract ends and she wishes to travel and return to her home country, noting that the contract duration is two years and may be extended if both the sponsor and the worker agree. In this case, travel costs are borne by the sponsor.

Important steps to take before deporting the worker
1- Checking residence validity

The validity of the worker’s residence permit must be confirmed. If it has expired, any due fines must be paid before the travel date.

2- Checking passport validity

The worker’s passport must be valid before booking the flight ticket.

3- Checking baggage and travel details

The allowed baggage weight and number of bags must be confirmed, and the worker must fully understand the travel itinerary.

4- Signing a clearance

It is recommended that the worker signs a clearance after receiving all her financial dues, preferably through her embassy or the recruitment office.

5- Providing an escort for the worker

It is preferable for an escort to accompany the worker while completing boarding procedures and immigration checks at the airport.

6- Arriving early at the airport

The worker must arrive at the airport at least three hours before the scheduled flight.

7- Checking luggage contents

It is recommended to inspect the worker’s luggage before heading to the airport.

8- Cancelling residence if necessary

If the residence permit is still valid and the sponsor wishes to recruit a replacement worker, the residence must be cancelled one week before departure through the security center.
