When recruiting a domestic worker or transferring sponsorship, the recruitment office issues a work permit and residence permit for the worker, valid for one full year. Therefore, the sponsor must renew the work permit and residence permit upon the expiry of their legal validity, which is indicated on the residence and permit card (expiry date).<\/p>\n

It is recommended to start the renewal procedures two weeks before the expiry date.<\/p>\n

How to renew the work permit and residence permit
\nFirst: Required documents
\nThe worker\u2019s passport and copies of pages containing personal data.
\nThe expired work permit and residence card.
\nTwo personal photos of the worker.
\nThe worker\u2019s personal number.
\nCOVID-19 vaccination certificate (at least two doses).
\nA copy of the family book and the sponsor\u2019s ID.
\nA copy of the property deed (title deed) or rental contract for the sponsor\u2019s residence.
\nSecond: Procedures
\n1- Medical examination<\/p>\n

A medical examination is conducted for the worker at one of the expatriate health centers, and the test result is issued after approximately five days.<\/p>\n

2- Visiting the Labor Office<\/p>\n

After the medical result is issued and sent electronically from the medical center to the labor directorates, the sponsor or a family member must visit the labor office in the area of residence.<\/p>\n

3- Submitting the electronic renewal request<\/p>\n

The renewal application is submitted electronically through the Ministry of Labor website, or through one of the insurance offices near the labor office to assist in completing the application.<\/p>\n

4- Issuing health insurance<\/p>\n

Purchase a health insurance policy for the worker.<\/p>\n

5- Submitting the application<\/p>\n

Submit the application to a labor office employee to complete procedures and issue the electronic payment number.<\/p>\n

6- Paying fees<\/p>\n

Pay fees through the \u201ceFAWATEERcom\u201d service.<\/p>\n

7- Completing residence procedures<\/p>\n
