There are certain cases in which a domestic worker can be deported or returned to her home country even if her passport has expired, as follows:

First:

If the worker is of Ethiopian nationality, provided that the flight ticket is booked only on Ethiopian Airlines.

Second:

If the worker obtains a travel document or an extension through her country’s embassy, or through the competent security authorities, or through the Association of Recruitment Offices, provided that approval is obtained from the airline through which the booking was made.
