The Ministry of Labor, in cooperation with the Association of Recruitment Office Owners and the government of the worker’s country, has determined the minimum wages and recruitment costs for domestic workers as follows:

🇵🇭 Filipino nationality
Minimum recruitment cost (without exemption): 3000 Jordanian dinars
Minimum (with exemption): 2600 Jordanian dinars
Salary: 400 USD (approximately 284 Jordanian dinars)
Whether the worker is experienced or not

🇱🇰 Sri Lankan nationality
Minimum recruitment cost (without exemption): 3800 Jordanian dinars
Minimum (with exemption): 3400 Jordanian dinars
Salary: 300 USD (approximately 212 Jordanian dinars)
With or without experience

🇳🇵 Nepali nationality
Minimum recruitment cost (without exemption): 2800 Jordanian dinars
Minimum (with exemption): 2400 Jordanian dinars
Salary:

Without experience: 300 USD (approximately 212 Jordanian dinars)
With experience: 350 USD (approximately 248.5 Jordanian dinars)

🇧🇩 Bangladeshi nationality
Minimum recruitment cost (without exemption): 2100 Jordanian dinars
Minimum (with exemption): 1700 Jordanian dinars
Salary:

Without experience: 225 USD (approximately 160 Jordanian dinars)
With experience: 250 USD (approximately 177.5 Jordanian dinars)

🇪🇹 Ethiopian nationality
Minimum recruitment cost (without exemption): 2000 Jordanian dinars
Minimum (with exemption): 1600 Jordanian dinars
Salary: 275 USD (approximately 195 Jordanian dinars)
With or without experience

🇬🇭 Ghanaian nationality
Minimum recruitment cost (without exemption): 2000 Jordanian dinars
Minimum (with exemption): 1600 Jordanian dinars
Salary:

Without experience: 225 USD (approximately 160 Jordanian dinars)
With experience: 250 USD (approximately 177.5 Jordanian dinars)

🇺🇬 Ugandan nationality
Minimum recruitment cost (without exemption): 2000 Jordanian dinars
Minimum (with exemption): 1600 Jordanian dinars
Salary:

Without experience: 225 USD (approximately 160 Jordanian dinars)
With experience: 250 USD (approximately 177.5 Jordanian dinars)

Important notes
These costs and salaries are according to Ministry of Labor decisions and may vary in some details between offices within permitted frameworks.
No party (company, sponsor, or otherwise) has the right to reduce the worker’s salary or negotiate it after approval.
Experience means the worker has previously worked as a domestic helper outside her country for at least one year.
In case the sponsor obtains an exemption from work permit fees through the Social Development Directorate, 400 Jordanian dinars are deducted from recruitment costs.
