1- Selecting the recruitment request
The sponsor selects a domestic worker request after carefully reading it, understanding its content, reviewing the conditions for recruiting workers from permitted countries, and ensuring that the recruitment office is licensed by the Ministry of Labor.
2- Required documents
Jordanian sponsor:
A copy of a valid family book.
A copy of a valid personal ID.
Bank authentication of signature on the approved authorization form, allowing the office representative to review government departments. The form is provided by the office.
Non-Jordanian sponsor:
A copy of a valid passport.
A copy of a valid annual residence permit.
A bank guarantee of not less than 2000 dinars.
Bank authentication of the authorization.
3- Processing the application
The recruitment office, after completing the requirements and receiving the required documents, prepares the application and has the sponsor sign the contract and undertaking.
4- Application approval
The application is stamped by the Association of Domestic Workers Recruitment Offices, which verifies:
The worker’s medical examination in her home country.
Obtaining a certificate of no criminal record and good conduct.
The office representative then submits the application to the Directorate of Domestic Workers.
5- Application review
The Directorate of Domestic Workers reviews the application, and if requirements are met:
Paying work permit fees via eFAWATEERcom under the sponsor’s name.
This stage takes two to three working days.
6- Security approval
The application is sent electronically to the Ministry of Interior to ensure no security objections.
If approved, an entry visa is issued for the worker, which takes one to two working days.
7- Embassy contract
After the visa is issued, the recruitment office prepares the embassy contract and submits it to the relevant embassy, where fees are paid and the process is completed within about three working days.
8- Sending the contract abroad
After the contract is issued by the embassy, it is sent via courier to the recruitment office in the worker’s country to complete procedures with the Ministry of Labor there.
9- Completing procedures in the worker’s country
After completing the process in her country, the worker obtains a travel permit from her government, and the flight ticket is issued to schedule the arrival date.
10- Reception in Jordan
The office representative receives the worker at the airport, issues a temporary one-month residence permit, and carries out:
Medical examination to ensure her health.
Vaccination (if not already taken).
Fingerprint registration at the security center.
11- Medical result
The medical result is issued within approximately five days.
12- Issuance of residence and work permit
A unified card for work permit and residence is issued, valid for one year from the date of issuance.
